AI Assistant

The AI assistant is an important component of recording, enhancing recording efficiency through conversational interaction.

Prompt

You can configure prompts in settings. The AI will converse based on your input prompts. NoteGen only provides a very simple writing assistant prompt.

AI Model

AI model, including model name and vendor name, for display only.

Start New Conversation with New Tag

Click to open a dialog, input a new tag name, start a new conversation, and create a new tag simultaneously.

Delete Conversation

Delete the current tag along with all conversations and records under the current tag (use with caution).

The middle area displays conversation history, including user input, AI responses, clipboard detection information, etc. The left side shows bot information, and the right side shows user input information.

Conversation history is isolated under different tags.
AI response content can be recorded as text using the Record toolbar below each message.
Translation: Translate AI conversations to your desired language.
Clipboard events are triggered when the program gains focus (when switching to the window).
Clipboard content only exists for 5 seconds and will disappear if not recorded.
Clicking X will delete this conversation and clear the clipboard.
Some models support thinking.

Select AI Model

Multiple AI models can be configured in settings and switched here to handle different scenarios.

Select Prompt

Multiple prompts can be configured in settings and switched here to handle different scenarios. NoteGen presets a simple prompt; it's recommended to write prompts based on actual needs.

Select Conversation Language

Select a language, and the AI will converse with you in that language.

Associate Tags

When enabled, AI conversations will carry all record information within the current tag.

Knowledge Base Retrieval

Through RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) technology, retrieve existing articles to improve AI conversation quality. Requires configuration of embedding models (required) and reranking models (optional).

AI Suggestions

Based on conversations and records, AI will provide suggestions generated in placeholders. Use the TAB key to use suggestions.

You can configure this AI model in Settings - Default Model. It's recommended to use fast and inexpensive models.

Clipboard Monitoring

When enabled, monitors clipboard content, supporting text and images. Messages are automatically removed after 5 seconds. Clicking record will save as text or image under the current tag.

Clear Context

Does not delete current conversation content but truncates the context available to the AI model. Hover over the clear context message to delete this context clearing and restore AI context.

Clear Conversation

Clear all conversation content under the current tag without deleting the tag.

Modes

The right side of the dialog box switches between Organize/Chat modes, and the buttons change accordingly.
