Chat settings

Default model

Select the primary chat model for Chat and Agent. Conversation features without an explicit model fall back to it.

Chat toolbar

Open Settings to change the order and visibility of desktop and mobile controls: model, prompt, response language, linked tag, linked files, MCP, knowledge base, clipboard monitor, new chat, clear context, and clear chat.

Clear Context keeps visible history but excludes earlier messages from future requests. Clear Chat deletes the current conversation history.

Conversation condensation

Long conversations can be summarized to reduce token usage. Configure:

• whether automatic condensation is enabled;
• a condensation model, or fall back to the primary model;
• message-count and minimum-token thresholds;
• how many recent messages remain uncompressed;
• maximum summary length and a custom prompt using {content}.

Condensation removes some detail from future context. Disable it or start a new conversation when exact historical wording matters.
